Dell Tray 2.5" to 3.5" Mounting bracket

The Dell 9W8C4 metal bracket adapter lets you mount one 2.5-inch storage device in a 3.5-inch drive tray, so a smaller drive can fit a tray designed for a larger format.

It holds the drive inside a hot-swap tray or caddy made for 3.5-inch devices. Once the drive is mounted in the adapter and tray, the assembly can be inserted into a server with a 3.5-inch hot-swap backplane.

Listed as a hot-swap adapter for Dell PowerEdge server series R, 4, 5, 6 and 7, it supports this 2.5-inch-in-3.5-inch tray arrangement. The 9W8C4 is the bracket adapter for mounting the drive in the tray system.
