CacheVault Accessory kit

Avago CacheVault Accessory Kit 05-25444-00 is a kit for protecting cached data on supported MegaRAID SAS RAID controllers. It combines a CacheVault flash cache protection module with a CacheVault power module.

When server or power failure interrupts operation, CacheVault helps preserve the integrity of cached data by powering critical controller components long enough to transfer the data to NAND flash. The datasheet describes a super-capacitor based approach instead of lithium-ion batteries.

The kit is designed for MegaRAID SAS 9361-4i and 9361-8i controllers. Its compatibility list also includes MegaRAID SAS 9380-4i4e and 9380-8e configurations.
