TP-Link TL-WPA7617 KIT extends a home network through existing electrical wiring, providing a way to add wired and wireless access in another room. It is a paired powerline kit using HomePlug AV2, with data rates up to 1000 Mbps over wiring for distances up to 300 meters. The adapters need to be used on the same electrical circuit.
The TL-WPA7617 adds dual-band AC1200 Wi-Fi, with rates up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Its Gigabit Ethernet port supports a wired connection for a PC, game console or smart TV. Wi-Fi Clone copies a router’s network name and password, while Wi-Fi setting changes can synchronize across the powerline network.
