iFixit Anti-Clamp is an opening tool for separating adhesive-attached phone and tablet housings during repair. It helps lift a screen or cover so repair work can begin.
Opposed suction cups hold the front and back surfaces while a crank applies pulling force. The adjustable opening force can be set for a gradual pull, and the tool maintains that force while you wait for the adhesive to release.
It can be used with iPhones, iPads and other phones and tablets that have smooth glass, metal or plastic surfaces secured with adhesive. The manufacturer’s part number is IF145-513-2. Reusable adhesive tape is available for cracked displays and smooth, slippery surfaces.
