Apricorn Aegis Secure Key 3NX ASK3-NX-16GB is a 16GB USB flash drive for storing files with hardware-based encryption. It encrypts data as it is written using 256-bit AES-XTS, while PIN authentication and operation are handled by the drive itself without setup software.
An integrated keypad lets the user unlock the drive with a PIN. The minimum PIN length can be configured from 7 to 16 digits, keeping authentication on the device rather than the connected computer. Its aluminum housing is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance.
The Type-A interface supports USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1. The drive works with Windows, Mac, Linux and Android systems that provide a powered USB port and storage file system. It measures 81 × 18.4 × 9.5 mm without the cap and weighs 22 g. The package includes the drive, a protective aluminum cap and a Quick Start Guide.
