A GPON optical network unit

Ubiquiti WaveFiber ONU (Wave-Fiber-ONU) is a GPON optical network unit for connecting a fiber service to Ethernet equipment. It provides one SC/APC GPON WAN port and one RJ45 LAN port supporting 1/2.5 GbE.

The listed line rates are 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream, with a physical reach of 20 km. This makes the unit suited to fiber links where the provider network and connected equipment support these interfaces and rates.

The polycarbonate enclosure measures 76.5 × 76.5 × 26.4 mm and weighs 78 g. It uses 24 V passive PoE and has a maximum power consumption of 5 W.
