The Lindy 31573 2 m, 9-pin Sub-D null-modem cable is designed for a direct serial connection between two PCs. It has a female 9-pin Sub-D coupling at each end, forming a female-to-female cable for equipment with matching serial ports.

Its null-modem wiring crosses the relevant lines for PC-to-PC communication, and the connector hoods are molded plastic. The 2 m length provides a defined span for a direct connection where this connector arrangement is needed.
