The HPE P36997-H21 is a 960GB SAS 12G Read Intensive solid-state drive for enterprise server storage. Its SFF form factor and Smart Carrier format suit server bays designed for these drives.
It connects via 12 Gb/s SAS with full-duplex, bidirectional data transfer. The single-ported drive is hot-pluggable, allowing installation or replacement in compatible running server storage environments.
Designed for workloads dominated by reading, it is suited to read caching, social media services and web servers. The datasheet lists random read performance of 105,000 IOPS and random write performance of 32,000 IOPS, both at 4 KiB and queue depth 16.
P36997-H21 is part of HPE’s Value SAS Multi Vendor offering, which does not identify a specific internal drive manufacturer.
