8600, Snap-on

The CipherLab 8600 UHF RFID Snap-on Module (A8600SNPNVN01) adds UHF tag reading to a CipherLab 8600 Series mobile computer. Its snap-on connection lets the handheld computer serve as the host for RFID work in warehouse, receiving and inventory workflows.

It reads EPC Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO 18000-6C tags in the 865–868 MHz ETSI band. An integrated circularly polarized antenna provides a stated read range of up to 1 meter. The module takes power from the host device, so its role is to extend the 8600 computer with UHF RFID reading.
