The HID OMNIKEY 5027 (R50270001) is a dark blue contactless smart card reader for using access credentials to authenticate with computers, networks or cloud applications.
It reads high-frequency credentials at 13.56 MHz and sends their output through a keyboard wedge interface. The listing includes iCLASS Seos, iCLASS SE, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2 and NFC among supported credentials, making it useful for extending existing access credentials to digital sign-in.
The reader supports Windows, Linux, macOS and Android, using the operating system’s native human interface device driver without an additional installation driver.
