StarTech.com H5C4A-USB-HUB is a compact USB-C hub that adds four USB-A connections to a laptop or desktop with one available USB-C port. It is useful when you need to connect several everyday USB devices through a single host connection.
The hub supports USB 3.0 speeds up to 5Gbps. It is bus-powered, drawing its operating power from the connected computer, so the setup does not require an external power adapter. Its built-in 5in (13cm) USB-C cable keeps the host connection attached to the hub.
The lightweight design is suited to travel and desk use. Three ports sit along one side and another is at the end for access when connecting or removing devices. A cable management clip helps keep the attached lead together, and overcurrent protection is included. StarTech.com lists driverless operation with Windows, macOS and ChromeOS.
