The HPE P47817-B21 is a 240GB SATA 6G solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, intended for read-intensive storage in supported HPE server configurations. It belongs to HPE’s multi-vendor SSD range.
With TLC flash and a SATA interface, this drive fits compatible server storage setups. It is not hot-pluggable, so it is installed in a compatible system rather than replaced while the server is running. HPE lists digitally signed firmware for the model.
For selected HPE Gen10 and Gen10 Plus platforms, specified lifetime writes are 438TB, with endurance of 1.00 DWPD. Maximum sequential throughput is 520MiB/s for reads and 210MiB/s for writes, useful for read-focused server roles such as operating-system storage and application files.
At 4KiB, Q=16, random performance is 48,000 IOPS for reads and 11,500 IOPS for writes. This compact M.2 drive is intended for server workloads where read performance is a priority.
