20xGig-T + 4 MiniGBIC

The HP J8705A Gig-T / Mini-GBIC zl module adds a mix of copper Ethernet and SFP connectivity to a compatible zl switch chassis. It provides 20 autosensing RJ-45 ports for 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, allowing devices with standard twisted-pair network connections to connect through the module.

For fiber or other supported SFP links, the module has four open Mini-GBIC (SFP) slots. Mini-GBIC transceivers are separate; the QuickSpecs require revision B or later when using them. With Mini-GBICs installed, the chassis operating temperature range is limited to 0–40 °C.

The module measures 26.16 × 20.65 × 4.45 cm and weighs 1 kg. It is designed as a modular port expansion for a zl switch chassis, combining copper ports with flexible SFP connectivity in one module.
