HP ProCurve J8705A is a switch expansion module that adds a mix of copper Ethernet and fiber transceiver connections to compatible zl switch systems. It is listed for the 5400 zl and 8200 zl families.

The module provides 20 autosensing RJ-45 ports for 10/100/1000 Ethernet, supporting 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T. The ports negotiate the link rate to suit connected network equipment.

For fiber links, it has 4 open mini-GBIC (SFP) slots. The specified transceiver requirement is revision B or later. The module measures 261.6 × 206.5 × 44.5 mm.
