2-Port Server Adapter

HPE NC523SFP 10Gb 2-port Server Adapter (593717-B21) adds two SFP+ Ethernet connections to a server. It is designed for 10 Gigabit networking, with an eight-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface that supports both x4 and x8 bus widths.

The two SFP+ ports can be used in copper environments with Direct Attach Cable or with fiber transceivers and fiber cables. Those connection components are required for the respective media; they are not described as part of the adapter kit.

The card supports installation in standard or low-profile slots. The kit contents list a full-height bracket fitted to the card and a separate low-profile bracket, allowing the adapter to suit either slot profile. Networking features include TCP checksum and segmentation offload, VLAN tagging, jumbo frames and IPv6 support.
