TP-Link TL-WPA7617 is a Powerline Wi-Fi extender that carries network connectivity through existing household electrical wiring, adding wired and wireless access where needed.
Using HomePlug AV2, it supports Powerline transmission rates of up to 1000 Mbps over wiring and a stated range of up to 300 m. Its dual-band AC1200 Wi-Fi supports up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, so wireless devices can connect on either band.
For wired equipment, the adapter has one Gigabit Ethernet port, suitable for devices such as a game console, smart TV or NAS. Powerline devices need to be used in a set of two or more on the same electrical circuit; TL-WPA7617 is compatible with HomePlug AV and AV2 adapters.
