10Gbase-Sr SFP Module

Cisco SFP-10G-SR-S= is an S-Class 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver for connecting network equipment over multimode fiber. It plugs into an Ethernet SFP+ port on a Cisco switch, and Cisco describes SFP+ modules as hot-swappable for installation or replacement without powering down the switch.

The module uses an 850 nm optical wavelength, with a listed transmit and receive range of 840–860 nm. Its reach depends on the fiber: up to 26 m on FDDI-grade multimode fiber, 300 m on OM3, or 400 m on OM4. These distances help match the transceiver to short fiber links in network installations.

This S-Class variant does not support FCoE. Cisco lists SFP+ connector dimensions as 8.5 × 13.4 × 56.5 mm.
