Belden 5502FE.00152 is a shielded Security & Sound cable for wiring security systems, intercom and public-address equipment, audio or speaker circuits, and power-limited controls. This exact variant is supplied as a 152 m reel.
Inside are four stranded 22 AWG bare-copper conductors insulated with polypropylene. Their black, red, white and green colors help distinguish conductors during installation. A laminated aluminium-polyester Beldfoil® shield surrounds the conductors, while the PVC outer jacket has a ripcord to assist access to the cable core.
The cable is rated for 300 V and classified CMR for indoor riser use. Belden also lists it for audio and control wiring in noisy environments, where the shield provides a barrier around the conductors.
