The HP Pro Shred Auto 400MC (article 2823) is an automatic-feed document shredder with a separate manual feed for smaller batches. Load up to 400 sheets in the autofeed or up to 10 sheets manually, so it can handle a queued stack as well as a short batch.
Its micro-cut mechanism produces 2 × 12 mm pieces and meets security level P-5 under DIN 66399. It processes paper, staples, clips, credit cards, CDs and DVDs; shredded material collects in the 53 L bin.
The shredder measures 400 × 500 × 764 mm and weighs 25.6 kg. Listed runtimes are 240 minutes with autofeed and 30 minutes with manual feeding, and the noise level is 60 dB. The touch display reports operating status, overheating, overload, a full or open bin and feed errors. A four-digit code lock on the paper tray provides a way to restrict access to the loaded documents.
