The Sandberg USB-C to SATA USB 3.1 Gen.2 adapter, model 136-37, connects a SATA drive externally to a computer. Its USB-C male plug connects to the computer, while SATA carries data and power to the drive.

Use it with 2.5-inch SATA hard disks and SSDs of any capacity; it does not support 3.5-inch hard disks. The USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface transfers data at up to 10 Gbit/s and is backward compatible with older standards, for accessing a supported drive to move files or make backups.

Compatible operating systems listed by Sandberg are Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and macOS.
