The DTECH DT-5015 USB extender connects a USB device to a computer over a Cat5, Cat5e, or Cat6 patch cable, extending the connection up to 60 m. It suits setups where the device needs to be positioned farther from the computer.

The computer-side section has a USB Type-A male plug and an RJ45 female socket; the device-side section has a USB Type-A female socket and an RJ45 female socket. Both sections have PVC cases. The extender is stated to comply with USB 1.1.

Plug and play operation means no software installation is required. The extender is self-powered for low-power USB devices, and an additional DC jack is provided for devices that need more power. The network patch cable is not included.
