ASUS PRIME A520M-R is a micro-ATX motherboard for desktop builds using the AMD A520 chipset and AM4 socket. ASUS lists support for Ryzen 5000, 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series, 3000 and 3000 G-Series desktop processors, so check that your processor is on the supported list.

Two DDR4 slots provide memory capacity for a compatible system. For expansion, the board has one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. Storage options include one M.2 slot supporting PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA modes, plus 4 SATA 6 Gbps ports for connecting drives.

HDMI provides a display connection, while Realtek 1 Gb Ethernet supports wired networking. Rear and front USB 5 Gbps connections are also supported for peripherals.
