TP-Link TL-SG116 is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch for expanding a wired home or office network. Its 16 RJ45 ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation, allowing connected devices to use the speed supported by their links.
The steel-housed, fanless switch can sit on a desktop or be mounted on a wall. Auto-MDI/MDIX removes the need for crossover cables, and plug-and-play operation requires no configuration. Green Ethernet adjusts power use according to link status and cable length.
For network traffic, the TL-SG116 supports IEEE 802.3x flow control, 802.1p/DSCP QoS and IGMP Snooping. These features help prioritize latency-sensitive voice and video traffic and optimize multicast streams. Its dimensions are 286 × 112 × 25 mm.
