The TP-Link EAP245 is a dual-band Gigabit wireless access point for ceiling or wall mounting, intended to add Wi-Fi coverage to an indoor network. It supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and IEEE 802.11ac/n/g/b/a standards.
Advertised maximum link rates are 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz. Internal omnidirectional antennas serve both bands. Two Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports provide wired connections; one supports PoE.
The access point can use 802.3af/at PoE or 48 V Passive PoE for power. Its wireless functions include MU-MIMO, beamforming, band steering and airtime fairness. Seamless roaming is available with an Omada controller, making the unit suitable for centrally managed business or shared indoor networks.
