TP-Link TL-SG1048 is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch for connecting devices across workgroup and departmental networks. Its 48 RJ45 ports each support 10/100/1000 Mbps, with automatic speed negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX, so devices can establish network links without manual port configuration.

For rack installation, the steel switch fits a standard 19-inch rack and occupies 1U. Its dimensions are 440 × 220 × 44 mm, and a mounting bracket is included. A 96 Gbps switching capacity and 71.4 Mpps forwarding rate support traffic across the ports; the 16K MAC address table stores device addresses used for forwarding.

The TL-SG1048 supports IEEE 802.3i, 802.3u, 802.3ab and 802.3x standards. It can provide a wired connection point for a workgroup or department where many network ports and rack mounting are useful.
